Did you see it? The sunset this evening. My daughter opened the back door and stood outside and pink light was illuminating the back yard...gorgeous!

I wish my camera could have picked up the color in the yard. I could only get the cloud that was lit up south of our place...

I saw it from inside my bedroom. Grabbed my camera and ran outside only to find out I missed the spectacular colors. Probably because of the fires in California giving more dust in the atmosphere.

Yeah...it sure is something else when fires can destroy and yet create beauty. I remember the sky over Loveland a couple of years ago with the Buchhorn fire. There was really thick smoke over the area just West of Loveland and sometimes the color of the air around us, or between the ground and the plume of smoke was brilliant orange.

I missed it.. I got home after the ride and took a nap. Now it's dark.

Hmmm...reminds me of a friend of mine who had pretty much the same view for a year back in 06/07.

I noticed it too.

I wonder what could cause a pink sunset so I looked it up and there's a couple possibilities:

It was amazing. I missed didn't get to grab my camera in time for the peak though.

That first one almost looks like the trees are ablaze again. Nice pix.
