You can "Build-N-AR" through just about anyone.
Best just to buy a base model A4 in the barrel length you want then add on the odd items.

You can get the lower assembly at Tom & Joes in Wheat Ridge and the background check is about 20-30 min. They usually stock the Stag lowers. I got mine there and ordered the rest online

Free floating bull barrel, nice.
Is that a recoil collar on the barrel?

I believe that is just considered to be the gas block. Thats where the gas tube feeds into. It doesn't have a recoil spring on it which I think most of the add-on collars would.

Dana,
If you need some AR help let me know. Green mountain Guns off Hampden/Wads has Rock River lowers for @130 and Bushmaster's for $160. I helped Andrew (justSomeDude) with his AR buildup and it turned out pretty sweet. :)

Do you know if they have left hand uppers?

Not to sure, they did have (3) new uppers ready to be pinned to a lower. They had some AR's on consignment but I didn't take a good look at them.

You looking for a LH upper?

SupermotoMJ

^^Realize those are stripped lowers. You still have to buy a parts kit and stock. If you need help let me know. I think I got Andrew up and going in an hour after going through all the options.

Actually i've been looking at building one for a while now. Just not AR guy. more of a bolt action rifle guy. Im thinking though an 18" or 20" barrel would be fun

Standard barrel is 20", then its a 16" or 7-1/2" (Pistol), or up to 24" etc.

Yeah, it's got to be the gas block, there isn't one anywhere else.
What threw me was the barrel length, it's got to be like 24" then.
And I though my V-Match was long.

The supressor I was thinking of was a rubber diaphram type that slipped over and down the barrel and supposedly absorbed kenetic energy dissipating the recoil.
I always wondered if they actually worked.

Is that a Z-140 Alleviated titanium Neurocharged assault model?
Good thing for me it's not loaded......you have to push that little yellow button to load it.

My long barrel length seems to catch people off guard on a regular basis :o
..but yeah it is the 24". I was looking at a 20" originally but figured I would just go for the larger 1/8.

Yeah, I bet you say that to all the girls.

But what the hell, it's set up as a long range rifle, might as well have the reach-out-and-kill-someone barrel.

I bet prarrie dogs have nightmares of that gun.

Thu Nov 20th, 2008, 03:29 PM
ah, then 24 inch it is. I guess my main goal would be to reach out and touch someone. Im really thinking that i would want this gun to reach 500 yards, as out at the ranch i could then look into most the fields :)

You can drive tacks with an 18" at 500........ 24" will get you out to 1000.
(So you better check with the neighbors.)

Well, land is ours for about 1000 acres in every direction so... neighbors really isnt an issue. Now maybe one of those 5000 head of cow might mind, but they cant talk back :)

If you're like this guy, you put on a mask, put it on Gunbroker, and make an internet ass outta yourself.

(the "ass" part is because he lists it as full auto with no tax stamps, etc.)
