The fan on my video card is starting to make bearing noises. Can you just get a fan anywhere for these or does it have to be special ordered?

You will need to order one. does this fan sit over a heat sink? If so, you will need a silver heat transfer compound as well.

Check www.geeks.com (http://www.geeks.com)

I picked one up from them about four months ago.

I'm thinking now would be a good time to just get a video card that will support DX10. :dunno:

The same thing happened to my 6800. I just removed the fan, and it never ran hot enough to be a concern (although I have very good ventilation throughout my case).

Screw it and open a window to cool the place down. You will have to upgrade your personal garmets though from sweat pants to sweat pants and thermal underwear.

On a side note this will only work in the winter so I guess you will have to take the summers off.
