I rode up there this weekend and there is quite a bit of gravel when you get closer to the falls. There also is some snow/ice melting on road so be careful if you go.

LOL. thats funny.
The road is a tight little 2 lane, no shoulder running up into
a slot canyon to the west of C Springs. The falls are near the
end of the pavment.A favorite free tourist attraction in these
parts. I love to go up there on my now gone aprilla scooter and now Honda NX250 and scare the bejesus out of the tourists by backing
into the tight corners.Quite fun. The last time Dallas and I went up
he almost lost it in some gravel in the middle of the road. It was
right out of a right blind corner so very hard to adjust quickly to.
I was able to cut in sharper to miss it, he just stood it up and ran
through it. Whew, close call for sure. Better and way more fun on
a small bike, supermoto, than a dedicated sportbike, as he found out.
Peace Bash

Kind of hard to call that thing a road! Its usually covered with bicyclists too.
Would be perfect for a scooter though! I get claustrophobic taking the busa up there.
