Yikes, with snow tires you can always minus size down. So get snow tires in the 16" but make the sidewall height tall enough and the tire narrow enough to have the same diameter as your 245/18. But you have to get a smaller rim.

Subie nut swingers don't deserve snow shoes (j/k).

Hankooks FTW! They are the shit!
Same basic performance as Bizzaks but at half the price.

They suck on dry though, but nothing you can't live with.
And you can get 2 seasons + if you pull them off in the summer.
Performance Tire carry them at pretty good prices.

Get a set of Nokian HAKKAPELIITTA. Best snow tire made; yes better than Blizzaks. Many rally cars actually use them and cop cars. I found mine on Craigslist for $200....

Speaking of them, Matty did you get these over the Blizzaks like I have been telling you to do????

More like $300-$400 a piece. Scandinavian Winter tyres FTW!
Scandinavian winter tyer prices Epic Fail. And they are loud on dry pavement.

Yeah the person I bought them from had no idea what they were; told me they were some weird name brand. lol For studed tires (which the studs can be removed) they are not loud. My Hankooks were way loader and weren't as good on dry pavement.

Oh yeah mine are only 17's though...

Speaking of them, Matty did you get these over the Blizzaks like I have been telling you to do????nope... went with the Blizzaks in a 245/40/18 .... and i love them.... the 6 inches of snow A-Basin got yesterday was no match for my car and tires. Drove perfect on the ice and in the snow. Does really well on dry roads, and they're pretty quite. they are also run-flats.

Hankooks. We had them on a rear wheel drive supercharged Mercedes and they ran like studded tires on the ice and snow Went to performance tire on Broadway and Dartmouth.

My new shoes:

Stick like glue and are reported to get 150,000 miles. I'll believe that when and if I see it.
