That's f'ing SWEET. Most of the words in that article I had to look up definitions for before I kinda understood what it was talking about.

Yeah, the VLT is a kick-ass telescope (well, 4 telescopes that can work together). A guy in the office uses it fairly frequently to observe satellites around asteroids. In many respects, the Europeans are kicking our asses in astronomy. If I were smart, I would move there.
