While I was visiting my parents over Christmas, I was looking at a bunch of old pictures and finally found one I have been looking for for a while. It's my dad and me on his old Harley riding around in the back yard circa 1969 or so:

That's where the bug bit me, I guess. :) You all have any vintage pics of yourselves riding/posing next to a bike?

was that not the year they debuted the "Ninja" cauz my first bike was in fact the 84 900 Ninja(back in 84) and I've since been told the above mentioned fact/statement!?
it did boast the Ninja labels.
Unfortunately I had to crash that bike before I was ever fotographed on it:(

Two lost photos that I wish to hell I still had are:
My Grandfather on a old Indian back in the early 50's (Grandma's basement flooded and it was destroyed).
One of my Grandmother wearing my leather jacket and goggles on my sportster back in the late 80's that I lost.:(

Nice shot. And yes, Sash, that's the year the Ninja debuted. It was an awesome bike.

Anyone know a good "honda" forum??

The CB forums are a great resource for all the older/smaller Hondas.
And Oldbikerbarn.com is a good place for parts.

I was originally (and still am) a hot rod and muscle car fan before I was into motorcycles. The first time that I heard about a CBX was during a time when there was a lot of negative press regarding sport bikes in general and X's in particular. The first time that I saw one in person, I knew that I had to have one. None were available in my area and I had to order one. It arrived a couple of weeks later and my buddy had to ride it home for me. I had never rode a bike before :shock:.

I still like my X's.:)

Only surviving pic of my first X.

Yep ---- first Ninja. 16" front wheel and a mono-shock. Tight bike ----- until impact with the deer on McClure Pass (24,000 miles) Turned it around for an '85. Rode it until '93. It has 65,000 on it. GREAT bikes

Is 2007 vintage?

They will all be vintage someday if they survive but "classics" are much more rare. Some bikes like 916/996 are obvious. What I think is cool, are bikes that were not all that popular or big sellers when they were originally sold but become more appreciated over time. This opens it up for a bunch of makes/models to be classics some day. I would like to find an older Duati 916/996, Aprilia Mille or an RC51 for my next bike (future classics?)

Well in that case I will have a vintage someday. I really want an RC51

....I ended up inheriting the little Honda Trail 70 when I was in 8th grade.....

That picture is the exact CT70 we had back in the 70's.
Complete with gold color and automatic clutch.

Have you seen Tipsy ride? It won't survive to be vintage.
(But hopefully he will.)
