Because the STAR is a gang symbol:

Are people REALLY this dumb and intolerant? Man, I HATE extremists. I wish they would all die in a fire.

it's just like when i was in Jr. high and we weren't allowed to wear those big puffy Starter Jackets with LA Raiders or LA Kings logos on them. Along with we weren't allowed to wear blue or red laces in our shoes, along with we weren't allowed to wear our baseball caps backwards (oh the caps couldn't have any major logos on them).

Shit is ridiculous.

Ridiculous. Although, I have to admit, it's nothing too shocking compared to growing up and going to school in Texas. What kids get away with here as far as hair style/color, facial hair, tattoos, and clothes, is a far sight beyond what we were allowed. Hell, they even allow shorts in school here. In S. Tx., 100 degree + weather, would they even fathom the idea? Hell no. Concert shirts, plaid or flannel, earrings, any haircut considered a distraction, were all ground for dismissal until corrected.

once in 7th grade I had a teacher try to tape my bangs up, with Scotch tape, so she could better see my eyes. No lie! I jumped over my desk and ran from her like she was the devil. I was then "arrested" by the mighty Alief School District Police.
So, yeah, sucks for the kid (yep, cool haircut) but administrative opression in school is kind of how it goes sometimes. Nonetheless, I too wish the over-protective moral zealots would spontaneously combust.

Here I thought this thread was going to be about some Islamic extremist group saying the American flag infringed on their religious freedom or some damn thing. Kinda disappointed actually.

Ridiculous...

There's a personal trainer at my gym (24 hour) that has stars shaved into his head and star tatoo's. Kinda :gay: in my opinion, but whatever...

Have at it. I hate the BS school systems push now days. Teach the fuckin' kids and stop worrying about all the other shit they try to press on kids. I don't blame the teachers I blame the administrators who were probably loser assholes in school with no friends so think they know what's best for all kids now days.

I blame the parents. If they would teach their children, and raise them, instead of allowing the schools to do it, we would not have this issue. You learn who to be and how to be from your parents. Schools should not be there to enforce anything. If your child is raised correctly they will have discipline, common sense, courtesy, personality, social skills. Blame mom and dad, not the schools.

Agreed, schools are for teaching kids math, science, reading and stuff. The parents need to do the rest. And I don't think a school should give a rat's ass if the kids turn out crappy cause their crappy parents didn't care to teach them about life. Clue in school admins!! A kid from a crappy home is gonna turn out crappy almost every time no matter what you do. So don't waste my money and my kid's time!!

I am gonna home school when I finally get to that point. No way my kids will go to a public OR private school.

what about all those movies where the teacher helps the students better their lives???

Mista Black

Those movies are real!! Just like 16 yo boys nailing their HOT teachers are traumatized is real... So we need to keep those movies rolling I think. And keep those HOT teachers around for their 16 yo students to really learn sex ed the right way.

The teacher's think doing things like this will make thier jobs easier and safer. Just like when they all wanted to put our kids on riddelin. Make 'em zombies so they don't have to deal with them.

I beat my kids, so I don't have to buy meds. lol.

This is another good example of how we as a nation have lost our way.
We use to glorify and aggrandize in song about things that would now get you arrested.

So in the immortal words of David Lee Roth…
“I think of all the education that I missed.
But then my homework was never quite like this.
Got it bad, got it bad, got it bad,
I’m hot for teacher.
I got it bad, so bad,
I’m hot for teacher.”

The pussification of Am'ercaSo truer words were never spoken…

Back in the day the height of male sexuality was to have your hair long, skin tight leather pants and the ability to do the splits in mid air.
