.....Surprise!!!.......inline 4's instead of the usual (boooooring) S&S "Hardley" boat anchor motors.

Not that I'm really into these kinds of bikes, but if I had to have a custom, I'd much rather it be this instead of another overweight, underpowered, WAY too noisy Hardley custom.

Enjoy!

Would you prefer a couple of dysfunctional idiots building custom bikes that look like tractors for cable television? ...oh wait

It's really too bad that's all you saw. :|

Not my style of bike but I can definitely appreciate the creativity and talent the guy has. The V-Max engine would be a great one to build that style of bike around.

a couple of local boys already took the V-max and built them in a very similair fashion.
Some of you may have seen them around town when there is a show.
AWESOME

I agree, except to put a really wide tire like that on requires a nighmare of propshaft and u-joints, as I've seen it done already a few times. Possible, but more Engineering-intensive.

I have to say I like Roland Sands more.

Plus the wide tire typically effects the handling pretty horribly. If you want to turn that is.

I think it looks cool though. But then again my second bike is a HD with said boat anchor 96cc v-twin.

Yeah, any V4 would be good but the new Vmax is the most bad-ass of all of them. 1700cc of V-4.

The sound of that thing gives me sequoia-level wood. Go here:

and click on the music note graphic in the upper right. "The Race" and "Passing" are pretty good. You may be NSFW after hearing it.

Cool site and even cooler bikes. I love that fact that he's not afraid to share his faith too, this guy doesn't look like your typical christian and w/ that he can reach out to others unexpecting.

It amazes me how quickly people judge, on something that teaches nothing but good & moral...and this guy doesn't even push it on you...you have to click the Faith Tab to see his beliefs...so it obviously worked on Puckster.

Keep up the GOOD work Ransom bikes.

Cool bikes but totally off the topic of the tread since those are Harley powered customs just like any of the 1000 custom bike builders.

I want to hear it straight from the source with my own ears. :) My VF1000R without mufflers sounds kind of similar.

Well, my roomie is very religious....and he's totally cool about it, and doesn't push anything on anybody. In my mind, the way it SHOULD be. this guy doesn't appear to push anything but his bikes either, just lists his inspiration for them, which is cool.

Hmmm I would not say it "WORKED" on me, unless you are looking for it to completely repluse me and make me go all closedminded to his work.

Then I gess it did work. BRavo to the thumper

I've seen his stuff before this, and while I think it's interesting, I don't like the lumps he puts in for motors. I mean, it's still another me-too "chopper". I like Goldammers stuff:
http://www.goldammercycle.com/hispeed/main.php

Even though it's typically the same lump, I like what he's done with the singles he makes, and there's actual Engineering work done instead of simply welding up a frame and ounding some sheetmetal.

That said, I still like the Ransom stuff the best as it uses the motor I would choose. Now, think of a custom based on a KWS 200+hp Gixxer or 'Busa motor.......:)

Yeah, I'd hit that.......twice!
