I was laid off back in March and have now reached the point of despiration (aka...out of money). I'm facing the possibility of...eeks!!...having to sell the bike and that is one of my worst nightmares!!

I have a degree in Business Management. My experience is in banking...the commercial loan side of things. I was a Commercial Credit Analyst at my last position. I am open to possibilities in other areas but I have accumulated quite a few bills so starting at the bottom and working my way up is a little difficult right now.

I would GREATLY appreciate any leads...THANK YOU!

considered temping?

Thanks for the suggestion but I couldn't tell ya the number of temp agencies/staffing agencies I'm registered with right now...those are about the only places I've gotten any leads through so far (well, mostly the regular staffing agencies) but nothing has come out of them yet. Except high hopes after second interviews, just to be let down 'cause he has "2 more years experience" or "a finance instead of a management degree."

Are you desperate enough to consider a career in insurance and financial services/sales? If so, send me a PM and I'll get you in touch with a Sales Manager in my office.

I am sorry to hear about this, I too was laid off in oct and am in about the same situation. It sucks soooo bad. Just feel lucky that you didn't buy you first home and then three days later find out that you don't have a job any more... That was me thought I had it all figured out and now I am more lost than ever! But the goo thing is it is supposed to be nice at the end of the week maybe we can meet up and do a lil ride to help you get your mind off things.

I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Now that it's the new year, and companies have their budgets back (albeit smaller), you might have something open up for you.

You could always whore yourself out to 1000 fat chicks for $50.
Or 50 REALLY fat chicks for $1000!
What?
Fat chicks need love too!
But they gotta pay...

Seriously, though.... I'm probably going to be looking for counter help in the near future... the pay is low, the hours are long, but at least the boss is a total dick........

Interested in doing proposal work?

Lockheed has 30 jobs posted in their finance section for Colorado... you may want to check that out. With a finance/business background... branch out a bit...

A bunch were just posted this week... like Barn said, new year... new budgets

No, not quite a house but I did find out about my layoff exactly 4 days after I signed for the loan for my bike.

I checked the site and they only have two positions, of which I am qualified for neither. Thanks for the suggestion though!!!

Well, I'm definitely not a mom, let alone a single mom...guess that disqualifies me from that one!! Thank God!! LOL! I've actually got a temp job right now that is paying me about half what I used to make and she is very flexible as far as taking time off for interviews and such so I think I'm gonna stay with her till I get a regular full-time job. She just gave me more hours and a raise! Thanks for the offer though!!!
