I got this free bar off of craigslist from a woman who bought a house and wanted to remodel it. The part she didn't mention was it was in the basement! It was a mid 70's bar I felt like saving so my buddy/roommate and I broke it down into smithereens (sp?) and transported it back up to our house.

From then on it was nail removal, sanding, linoleum tearing and then time for the rebuild!

The pics tell the rest, it took me about 20 hours over 3 days to complete, it's about 99% done.

The Rest - Now to plan some date a couple weeks out so people have it open and yet somehow have it be warm that night so the outside isn't wasted! BBQ and Booze!

A Lava-Lamp would really set that baby off.

I like it. Looks like a fun project. Will it be hard to move in the future?

I made this bar from basic materials from a variety of home supply places. The cabinets were basic oak unfinished kitchen cabinets that had been clearance priced. I've got less than $200 total in materials in it.

Um, it's right when you walk into the house and is pretty heavy but with it's L shape I think with 3-4 people we can put the short end out, then rotate and push the long end out, should work, this is all assuming I'm moving to a house, and that there is space/need for one there.
