CNN NEWS (http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/01/15/new.york.plane.crash/)

Flight 1549, headed to Charlotte, North Carolina, may have experienced a bird strike -- when a bird or flock of birds is sucked into the jet

The Times said it was below 20 degrees in New York at the time the plane went down.

Reporting that everyone survived

I was hoping it was not going to be another Airport '77. Glad they got everyone out OK :)

Must be a Republican flight, look at all the people haging out on the right wing.

Kate Hudson is a stage 5 clinger, according to Armstrong.:)
If you hit-it, you own-it...like a Mormon.

A Boeing would have managed to stay up.

A Boeing would have managed to stay up.

Nobody wants to hear about your Boeing staying up with Kate Hudson.

I waited until the crisis is over. Come on be an optimist. I am a "the plane is half full" kind of guy.

Dare I ask, what's in the plane?

LHR has a separate department that deals with birds. You know, with bird dogs and other scary stuff to keep birds away from the runway. :D

I always crack up when, during the pre-flight safety instructions, they say "in the unlikely event of a water-landing..."
I'm like, water-landing?!? :wtf: Wouldn't that be a CRASH?!!

Geez, lookit how many right-wingers it takes to balance out the few bloated left-wingers!:)

Man, amazing job by the pilot! That thing looks almost entirely intact! If I didn't see it, I wouldn't believe it. I would have thought there'd be WAY more damage.

Right after Riccardo passed too. He did not hear the warning. "The Plane!! The Plane!!"

Two airliners crashed in a month and not a single fatality... That has to be unheard of.
