I have a bad feeling about Pueblo. I heard that they have shut down the dirt section for any public use. I don't know if this is true or not, but that's the word on the street. I have heard a ton of rumors about the track being taken over by the military, the police(just for pit use), and development. I would love to know Pueblo's fate as well. I love that track; I really hope it opens again this season.

No 2009 schedule posted yet, but it sounds like they aren't planning to go anywhere soon. Contact Ene (http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forums/member.php?u=2062) on the board or call (719) 240-4132 for track info.

MRA has one race scheduled at PMP for 2009. Strange it's only one for the whole season.

Actually 2 races scheduled at Pueblo. Nothing strange about it. With PPIR reopened and HPR opening this spring, the MRA has scheduled races at both those tracks which will decrease the number of events scheduled at Pueblo.

I heard they're working on scheduling their track days, just nothing ready to go yet. I'm hoping they're open by March.

A company called NEK (I think) is or was at least planning on taking over PMP operations. Their intention was to use it for military training during the week, and keep Fri-Mon open for rentals, etc. Granted this is not recent info and things could have changed, but the track isn't going anywhere, there was just some question on who was going to run it. If this company does take over ops, I believe their plan is to make major, long-term investments in the property and track itself.

NEK did get the lease for Pueblo and are handling operations at this time. They have a preliminary schedule and are planning some major facility improvements over the next few years. Last I heard was an improved track crossover, improvements to turn 10 and about 1 mile of added pavement to create multiple track configurations.

I'm not sure which direction they are heading with open track time and am hopeful that I'll be able to offer some fully staffed events there this summer including ambulance, corner crews and instructors. I'll keep you all posted.

Over looked the second race. In any case, we are very fortunate to have three operating tracks in our immediate area, with two others not far away. Now it's going to be important to support them, either by going to the races, or participation in the racing program and/or track days. With the current economy having the spare $$$ to participate at the tracks is going to be the trick....
