R6 fork removal

Getting ready to pull the forks off and get them ready for next season. Just wanted to make sure what I should mark and record to make sure I have things back the same afterwards? I have the Service manual so getting them off should be easy.....just wanted to make sure I got them back on the same way they came off.

Should I mark the height they are raised above the Tripple?

What else?

Rather than mark I would measure. Unless by mark you just meant recording where they were in which case carry on :shock:

Obviously when reinstalling them it's important to have them perpendicular(love that word). All in all there really ain't that much to worry about.

Are you just pulling the forks off or will there be work done to the fork themselves?

Getting new oil, new seals, and any nicks polished out.

Ill make sure I have the measurements.........
