I needed instrumentation to bring my old racing CBX out on the street. It doesn't have cable drives for speedo or tach.
I researched a variety of add on type digital instrumentation and went with the Veypor http://www.veypor.com/
It has a lot of features (some I probably won't use on this bike) like accelerometer to measure horse power and drag. It can do quarter mile times, lap times and has a data logger. Reviews on it appear to be positive overall, with good feedback regarding accuracy.
It comes with quick disconnect mounting hardware to move it from one vehicle to another. I believe it can save the configurations for 4 vehicles. Since I was using it as my only instruments on this bike, I got the "dash" option that includes turn signal indicators, high beam indicator, neutral, etc. The CNC machined case is very nicely done. The kit includes "up/down" buttons that are installed next to your left thumb to toggle the various functions/displays. I'll probably use it in it's simulated tachometer mode with digital speedo.
Its a lot of capability in a small package. Here is a pic of it with my german shepherd's nose in the picture for scale.
