View Full Version : Bike of the month - FEBRUARY

SaShWhO
Mon Feb 2nd, 2009, 08:55 AM
the posting Guidelines:

1. please submit only ONE current picture of your current bike with a season appropriate background.
2. the picture should have a scenic Colorado backdrop seeing the theme of this calendar is CSC bikes and Colorado. In other words don't submit your favorite pic of your bike in the garage or in front of your house. Along with your pic tell us a little about you and your bike to include yr/make, model mods if any, your name, age , occupation and most importantly where the pic was taken.
3. It must be your current bike and you must be a active member of the CSC.
4. There is no more limit as to how many peeps can submit pics per month for we've decided to select the 10 awesomest pics every month for the viewing public to vote on. Rest assured that there will be no favoratism of any kind going into this selection process. We're simply going to select the most calendar worthy submissions based on the posting criteria and our love for the sport and Colorado.
5. you may submit your pic in subsequent months if your bike is not chosen. If you win the bike of the month poll you may submit up to 5 more detail pics of your machine. These may be action pics, detail up close and personal pics or pics with you and or a model on your bike. We may put these in thumbnail format on the bottom of the winning months pic once the calendar gets put together.

the voting Guidelines:

1. YOU MAY ONLY VOTE ONCE
we'll keep the thread open for the first 15 days of the month for pic submissions. A poll will be inserted in either the thread or a seperate new voting thread.
Remember~~ you can only vote once.
2. voting will start no earlier than the 15th day of each month and will run until the 20th day at which time a winner will be announced.
Please vote carefully and without bias to people and or their particular flavor of bike.
I hope you all are looking forward to this as much as I am for the finished product ought to be something we CSCers can all be proud of and needless to say the month to month braging rights if you're the lucky one.

Have fun with this and best of luck to all that participate.

NOW BRING THE PICTURES!!!!

My old Ducati 750 Sport HF Dark. I bought the bike from Pharmerkyle and owned it last summer. I loved the sound of those Remus pipes. A gal on CSC now owns it.

The location is at the Climax Mine over Freemont Pass. There is this ore shovel just begging to be a photo op, so I just rode her up and into it.

I vote that we allow non-sportbikes ... some of us have nice pics of dual sport adventures, sport touring bikes, and getting dirty / sumo are sub forums here. Ok... just no cruisers in front of bars with bikini babes draped over it. (you can send those pics to me directly) ;)

agreed by popular demand.
Cruisers and motards welcome but we'll stick to the no dirtbike rule.
it would be nice to have a pic that corresponds to the season so no winter pics in August, fall pics in winter etc would be cool.
we nearly have 10 entries that actually meet the other rules so way to go kids. Hope this enthusiasm keeps up.
speaking of abiding to the "guidelines"
pics of only your bike!! not you on it or next to it---only if your bike is chosen may you submit up to 5 more.
it must be your current bike!!!.
if you submit pics of your bike at the gas station or in your garage you will be nailed to a cross, hung upside down and flogged into submission~~~~~Scott

I don't think we ought to worry about that too much. I don't mind looking at a nice picture taken at the height of summer to remind me of fun times when snow is falling outside.

Boooo....I was gonna find a nice spot sometime this week or next with the warmer weather to take a hot shot of my one and only bike love for a Valentine pic. :hump:

Fine!!! I'll do it anyway and photochop it, print it, frame it and hang it lovingly in my cubicle at work, so I can pine over it whilst I toil away at the computer...dreaming of warmer days, curvy roads and no traffic.

The rules have been renamed to 'guidelines' for rules were evidently meant to be broken.
having said this please take a look at them for some minor changes have been made.
long story short: no more limit of monthly pic submissions for myself and my highly qualified team of consultants have decided to select the 10 best for you all to vote on.
This way we can select the pics that at a minimum follow the guidelines to some extend as opposed to only the 10 earlybirds having a crack at it on a month to month basis.
This decision was made simply because of the high volume of potentially interested participants that did not have a chance to post up quickly enough.

so once again

BRING THE PICS!!!

the club with my bike. I guess its better to be lucky than good
sometimes! To all of you who think my bike does not
have enough crap on it to be worthy I would invite
you out on a ride this year so that you can see it
in person. Most of my "mods" are to make it either
go faster or go faster around corners. This bike is a
no bling zone. Acually it is gel coat black now, oops.
