Does anyone have an idea how to polish acrylic or where to get it done at?

Today we made electron trees with accrylic. Think of it like lightning.

It was so frigg'n awesome!!!!! You'ld think it would get boring but after making each one we all had smiles on our faces like we were little kids again!!!!

We'ld shoot the accrylic with a stripped down linear accelerator for a bit & then tap a grounded screw into the bottom. Just the thought of 1-2 Million e- volts jumping around was COOL!!!! Not extremely safe, but the person who gave us permission was pretty much clueless... =:-)

You might get a kick out of this video. It shows what we did today... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfsoithqUeY

Here's the Wiki link to give a little more depth to it. I only wish the accrylic I got my hands on was like shown in the picture. Anyway, I want to polish up the accrylic & put some lights underneath in a display....

You can buy acrylic polish online and from expo supply stores. I've used it on display sign covers, but it doesn't make it like new. Basically its like gritty toothpaste that you let dry on the surface and then buff it off. If you want it to look really nice you'd probably want to check with someone like http://www.mapquest.com/maps?name=Dun-Rite+Deburring&city=Denver&state=CO&address=1715+E+69th+Ave+%23+A&zipcode=80229&country=US&latitude=39.8218&longitude=-104.967668&geocode=ADDRESS&id=9993198

I don't know that Kevin from there specifically does acrylic, but he has done aluminum and stainless for me to a mirror finish.
