Been working this issue for 6 hours now, because some vendor decided to make major architectural changes and not actually fucking tell anyone.

And just as I see the light at the end, the NOC emails with more crap to fix.

I'll sleep on Thursday.

I feel for ya. I'm on call this week. Fortunately a bunch of work I did when I started here 18 months ago has been paying off these past few months. Pages from problems have dropped down to almost nothing (you should see the chart) as are problems from unmanaged changes ("oh it's no problem if I update /boot/grub/grub.conf" especially when the kernel you wanted to use isn't on the box and you commented out all the other kernels).

That's bullshit Ralph, but I know where you're coming from. I had a 5 hour window friday at midnight to upgrade the SAN and the HBA drivers on my exchange boxes...didn't get outta there until around 8 am on saturday.

That's the one thing that I hate about being in IT. Get some rest mang!!
