I think I'd be willing. This noob would have to ride far in the back though. I'm still trying to find my own pace, if you know what I mean. :turtle:

When you get off exit 223....go left (west) on 120th...after first light look left and you'll see the CONOCO on the left in front of Cracker Barrel.

You can roll down to Lowell and 120th, then head towards I-25 (East) and there is a Conoco right past Huron on the right side right before I-25

New tags for the bike or just renewing? New ones are a bit pricey. Get them before they go up. I think July 1st is price increase time.

Based on the normal trips, 2 hrs would probably be cutting it close, but there's nothing that says you can't split from the rest of the group whenever you want. I think the last one we did ended up being around 4 hrs. But we went all the way down to Monument.

That's what I was thinking too. I think I'm just going to go out and hit some road for an hour or two around 11am. I have Spring Break starting next weekend so I'll catch up with you gentlemen then.

That's exactly what we did last time...a few had to go back early. I was thinking from 120th go I-25 N to 66 ---> 7..then up the mountains from there...

Or...do 36 down thru boulder to the 7 36 split

I'm sure the old timers know better routes...but, just let us know where you want to split before KSU @ CONOCO so we don't think you went down or we lost you.

Was definitely a fun ride, and very spirited to say the least. You got the bird from the jeep, I thought for sure he was gonna run my ass over since I was dead last. Twisties were fun, sorry I couldn't stay for the beer and food at the end, but I look forward to next sunday.

Sounded a little like they were upset :banghead: because they had 25 miles to go and were forced to pedal those bikes instead of just twisting the throttle:rock:

Hate to be a killjoy, but even though we had a good safe ride we still need to be mindful of others. Last thing we need the staties patrolling that stretch of road with zero tolerance.

I wouldn't say we weren't being mindful of others. We had some dude in a jeep flip all of us off when we passed him in a passing zone. We had a set of ladies that thought we were trying to take them off the road because of signals we were giving to each other (whether foot or hand) to let the rest know the bikers were there. We explained to them what was going on, and they were really happy to know that's what we do.

The Jeep dude was just an asshat. the ladies were cool after we explained the signals. I used to road bike but gave that up after being clipped by a mirror. All I'm saying is be careful how close you clip your right hand apexes. Other than that I'm glad everyone rode well and had fun. Where to next weekend?
