Guanella Pass - when does it open?

Does anyone know when Guanella Pass opens, or how I can find out? I can't seem to locate any info about it on the COTtrip website.

A few years ago I'm pretty sure I went sometime earlier in the year and it was open. The 3' of snow ate up the Ranger when I had it though. :lol:

Seriously, I remember reading that CDOT doesn't plow that pass from Nov to like May since 1988, which is why they do the Elephant Ride there every year (thats where this pic was taken.)
