1st bike, unknown chopper from 1968. I was five when we got it. This is from '72.
2nd bike, 1972 Honda SL70. This is spring of '73 w/my dog Tuffy.
3rd bike, 1975 Honda SL100. No picture. My brother t-boned a Gran Torino with it.
4th bike, 1980 Honda XL125S. No picture. I totaled it jumping a flat bed trailer in a hay field.
5th bike, my cousins CB350 twin. It's cheating I know, but he stored it in our machine shed and I was told I could ride it when ever I wanted too. :) My first real street bike! Awesome! :)
6th bike, 1978 650z. No Picture. Blue. Round tank. Traded my car for it. Title for Title while on the road in Jaw Jaw back in 1984.
7th bike, 2003 Yamaha FZ1. Bought myself a xmas present for '02. This picture is from August of '04 at the Boulder Shell station across from Denny's.

Of all the bikes I've seen pictures of, I would have to say that the:

Triumph Bonivelle, the RD 350 Yamaha, the Honda CBX, the Honda VR1000R and the 1999 R1's are the bikes that, for historical purposes, belong to the lineage of fast bikes. They were the bikes, that had a little something extra goin' on when they were first introduced to the general public.

We should add the Kawisaki 750 2-stroke triple but first someone has to post a pic. :hump:

My older brother parked his in the old garage and went off to college after writing down the mileage. We didn't even know what we were dealing with at the time. All we knew was that we couldn't get the miles off. That next summer he couldn't believe how well it was running after having sat for so long. So he rode it for a about week before he thought to check the mileage, and then couldn't find the scrap of paper he'd written it on. :siesta:

So, technically not my bike, but mind numbing none the less.

sigh, good times .... good times.

So anyway, if anybody has a pic of a sort of brownish gold, metallic fleck looking kawi 2 stroke street triple, that would be most excellent.

2009 - 1986 Suzuki RG500 (can never have too many gammas)

Still have all but the only 4stroke and the destroyed RGV ... 12 - 2 = 10
Hoping to find another RGV250 and a TZR250-3MA and an RG250 and maybe an RZ350 and more RG500s (arguably the best motorcycle EVER). .... but one runs out of space and money.

1st bike. 1996 ninja 600. was shit!! 2nd bike. 2001 gsxr 750. never a day that nothing was wrong with it.3rd and current bike. 06 r6 50 aniv. bike is awesome. never has problems

Some great pics out there, I love seeing all the classic bikes. Brings back memories of my dad riding home from work on his bike then putting me on the front to drive me around the block. Definitely some good memories.

Sweet thread....

First '99 Zx6. Bought it back in 2004. Painted it a shiny gold and ran it into a guard rail 2 weeks later. If you look real close you can see a bullet hole in the frame. Bike had character yo, I sure don't miss the dirty dirty south.

Current bike is an '01 Rc51, bought back in '08.
