On Spike @ 8PM

It's on every Tuesday at 8PM(new episodes). Anyone been catching these? I think they are pretty freakin cool. Love how they test the weapons and then have the quasi-battle at the end. Thought the last one(last week) Mafia v. Yakuza was kind of corny but the others have been really cool.

Tonight(right now actually) it's a new episode. Green Beret v. Russian Spetnaz, should be a good one. My favorite one to date was the Spartan v. Ninja but that was kind of a given(I was cheering for the Spartan) but figured the Spartan would own the Ninja and he did.

If you've been catching them weekly what do you think of the show? Wonder if they are going to do a big fight at the end of the season.

Wow, kind of shocked with the way the Green Beret v. Spetnaz turned out. Though I have to agree with the guy who runs the simulations in that it was based on 7 total kills(was what separated the two in the end of 1000 fights) and in the end that gave the Spetnaz the victory. However, he said it was basically a statistical dead heat. Got to say I was in the Green Beret's corner the whole show.

Next week should be good: Shaolin Monk v. Maori Warrior

Some of their match-ups are somewhat odd.

Viking v. Samurai?
Ninja v Spartan?
Really?

It seems totally random without a thought to the purpose/training of these certain individuals. Green Beret v. Spetsnaz...give the SF Operator a indigenous population to train and the battle is over. Their stated purpose is to infiltrate behind enemy lines and get a friendly local population to fight in a guerrilla war. Spetsnaz is an elite shock/sabotage/special warfare force.

Oh well, could rant all day about it... :)

Alright missed the Shaolin Monk v. Maori last week and just caught the episode. Tonight's match up is William Wallace v. Shaka Zulu. This should be interesting. Thought the Monk v. Maori fight ended like I thought. Though from watching some of the damage the maori weapons inflicted it was a toss up. In the end the Shaolin Monk ended up winning 69% of the time. Pretty dominant, only the Spartan has come as close in % wins(I think 65%).
