I like to take the ocassional visceral "no gear" rides as much as the next guy. (Probably more than the next guy, actually).

But I gave up flip-flops after riding to Boulder Res. to do some swimming a few Summers back. One rock at highway speeds, to any part of your toes, is an immediate disqualifier. :lol:

Last week I saw a lady downtown riding a scooter in a dress, with flats (girlie shoes), no helmet, holding a cigarette in her left hand and the throttle wide open with the right hand. That made my day for some reason.
