Im trying to change security settings on my router via web config. Entering my ip addy- then I'm prompted to enter user name/pass. What un & pass is it looking for? Ive tried about everything, the guy that gave us the router is on his hm in the carribian & I'd like to not bother them. Any help is appreciated -d

What brand is it. Different brands have different defaults. Have a look at this link (http://www.routerpasswords.com/) for one of the lists of default passwords.

If the default for that make/model doesn't work, you can reset it to factory default using the reset switch. But this will also wipe out all config.
