Tonight, Pharmgirl and indulged in our vice - ice cream. We just couldn't pass up free Root beer floats at Sonic.
On the way home, we stopped at the grocery store. As I pulled out of my grocery store parking spot, I heard the roar of a two-stroke disturb the otherwise quiet plaza. I looked over to see a dirtbike leaving the plaza and thought to myself that I'll never understand why people ride motorcycles in the rain (given a choice). We exited the plaza and approached the first stoplight when the car in front of me stopped fairly far back from the light. At this point I thought I saw a motorcycle tire sticking up in the air ahead of us. After a moment, the car proceeded to pull forward and exposed the guy picking his bike up off the ground in the turning lane. I don't know what happened - maybe he got the bike sideways when the light turned green. He was relatively unscathed though, superiorly protected by his baseball cap and tank-top shirt.
Since he didn't appear to be hurt, we proceeded to continue through the intersection. As we passed the rider, Pharmgirl noticed that he was indulging in his own vice tonight. He trashed his bike, but managed to save the gallon of Jack Daniels he was carrying (without a bag). Maybe he's not a squid after all :)
