Ok, so I'm keeping an eye on the weekend weather and as promised, I'm itching to finish up that ride we attempted last Sunday. This coming Sunday, so far, says in the 80s. So, it's that Northern route. And yes, I am stubborn. I would love to actually finish up this ride and then, as summer progresses, I'm going to attempt to do routes that take me further west and south into the mountains each week.

So, who's with me?

Meet-up details:

Place: 1275 Eagle Dr., Starbucks on south side of King Soopers, Loveland
Time: 8:30 am
KSU: 9:00 am

PM me for more details.:)

I love making people happy. She said she really enjoyed herself. I'm looking forward to seeing a couple of races at HPR and watching the women tear it up.

TGIF everyone!!!!

I so need this ride on Sunday. Keeping fingers, toes, eyes...everything crossed for better morning weather than last Sunday. I hope to see those of you who have PM'd me about riding, bright and early on Sunday.

I'll be watching the forecast as usual though. Marty may have been wrong last Sunday, but who can predict Mother Nature anyway?

Have a lovely evening everyone.:)

C'mon sunshine!!!

It'll be good to see Oscar again. Make sure he understands I don't plan on pulling the same stunt as the last time we were on Trail Ridge, m'kay.

Ok, well let's acknowledge the next races before I post up stuff from today. The next MRA races will be down in Pueblo on the last weekend of June. The 26th and 27th. I dunno if I'll be going to those races, but I still want to see the new track. The next races at HPR will be at the end of July.

So, on with picture/story...

Today was a definite improvement over last Sunday with weather. And there was 3 of us again wanting to get lost wayyyy back in them thar hills...
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l12/mtnairlover/3atthestart.jpg

For some silly reason though, my bike had a very different idea of today's ride and where we should be going. Daemon will have the picture/story of what happened there. But, we did not give up on riding altogether...we just took a shorter detour and ended up making it a 165-mile round-trip ride. Well, that's what I ended up with anyway. This next pic was somewhere in the middle of that ride...

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l12/mtnairlover/3inthemiddle.jpg

Then, ended up where all FOGs will eventually end up at the end of their long-ass rides...try and make out what the sign says on the wall behind the bikes...

Thanks to everyone who had a hand in making today a better day than it could have been...Mike, Jeff, Chad, Calvin and Chad's pal...um er, Jay?

Again, you guys rock!

Yep...hwy7 was a dream as usual.

You know how I thought that Mike's bike had a shorter wheel base? Welp, I checked the specs, it's just about the same as the 750. I dunno what it is with that bike, but I'm getting some sort of bug and will need to find a house real soon before I waste my money on another bike.:D

Cathy,
I have a FJR for sale if you are interested.

lol...I love ya, Patrick. But, I really, really, really want a house first.

We'll see what the move does to me financially. I'm gonna hang onto my mere pittance just in case something else blows up that I'm not expecting. So, give me a couple months and if you sell it, then that's ok, no worries.

Thanks:)

well.
for once i received no rain on this trip...
although cathy's bike decided to rain on our parade today regardless.
seems her slider was loose today and fell off in her hand.
believing that the remainder of the bolt would hold fast for the trip.
we edged on.
not a chance.
quick inspection enroute sent us poking back to chad's house for the diagnosis.

we were able to get her going again.

Anyhoo...Mike you know I love the Z. I'm gonna have a hard time containing myself now...but, I will stick with my plan of owning a home despite the liter bug.:p

Hey, I wonder if Jeff got any usable video from today's shortened jaunt.

That lunch was goooood. Mmmm ribs.... and tomatillo sauce. Well even though it was a short ride, that new rear got scrubbed in real nice.

In many ways it was a good thing that we caught the break (no pun intended) when it did, rather than somewhere out in the boonies in the rain with no way to repair it. So Cathy nursed the bike over to Chad's and it became a wrenching party.

After the repairs we go for a short test ride up Devil's Gulch.

We saw some other riders at Ed's Cantina. You guys on here?

Not too bad actually.. I am editing down the run on 7, but here's a bit of Poudre. I am having sound issues where the camera is mounted. Seems intake noise overwhelms the microphone on the GoPro.

Cool!

Hey, you know what just dawned on me? As far as the weather was concerned...I don't remember any tornadoes happening...although my daughter said she heard at least 3 warnings on the TV while we were out. Musta been out on the plains or something.

i'm looking forward to the footage from 7.
i have the same issue with the sound.
that's why i typically run music on mine.
a friend once said to cover the mic with some foam.
probably help a little if you can do it.

there were funnel clouds that stopped a game at coor's field.
Bennice was there with his boys.
i'm just glad i didn't get rained on at anytime during the day
