Be careful out there on C470 between Kipling and Bowles. There has been a single engine Cessna-type aircraft running the highway for the past 30 minutes. I'm assuming it CSP.

Actually, in that area you can. The service is CRAP over there. :) Hell, I can't even get TeddyBear on the good ole CB Radio.

Probably. They keep a C-182 or 210 (can't remember which) at Centennial and partly use it for speed patrols on 470. Note the painted hash marks on the asphalt, that's for a quick time-speed-distance calculation and then they gotcha.

I've been looking for those when I drive that route but haven't spotted any. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

I can still hear that mofo circling 470 from my basement.

Yeah, if there are no lines on the pavement they are not doing that type of speed trap.

It could be a traffic airplane.

great use of taxpayer $, I assume speeds exceed 200 mph on that strip of highway....:alien:

It isn't like their Cessna goes 200mph, or costs that much to operate. Actually it's a quite effective use of taxpayer $.

I see people pulled over near my house on 470 all of the time. The planes patrol 470 a bunch. What sucks is when they are doing their fly overs while I am trying to sleep.

I'm curious of the total initial cost, maitnence, and storage of the plane??? and the idea a persons eye in a moving aircraft can make a precise and consistent measurement of a persons speed using stationary markers? I mean I'm sure you can easily determine someone going ridiculously fast but then again I'll be the first to admit I've logged 0.00 flight hours and dont know if thats "how its done"
