I am thinking of painting the yellow SV.

I want to keep eh...most of the yellow as I am convinced it helps me to be seen on the road, at least somewhat.

However, I am trying to think of something groovy to paint her with some black stripes somehow, something not stripes,...no real ideas yet. (no hearts or butterflies for pete's sake)

I really considered NEVER doing this to keep her in pristine form, however, I finally came to the conclusion, that I will never need more bike then what I already have. She has low miles and will last me a very long time as long as I take care of her right back.

Whatcha got? :)

Hey Trev, thanks for your .02 but I would like something a little less sophmoric. But keep thinking on it. K! I would love your genuine thoughts sweetie.

I would like something a little more elegant then that. It can be crazy wild, or simple elegance. But within reason. Something kinda sexy but not too wild. Maybe simple elegance is the word I really wanted after all.

I do want ideas though, so it's an open forum. :)

I got painting out of my system in the Navy. It's just an idea.

On the other hand, I can dig some math.

You can keep just the yellow and add some elegance with ghost images. I've seen white pearl ghosted on yellow that looked pretty cool. The pearl becomes obvious in just sunlight if done correctly. If you paint a fleck or a pearl of another color it can look cool but won't be as hidden. As far as design goes that all goes back to your style. Racing stripe, Classic sportbike striping, tribal or flames?

Check my buddy's cruiser. Blue on black ghost flame done with blue glass fleck. Both of these pics were in the sun so the flames didn't go away totally. Normally the flames are hard to see.

Being solar powered as you are, maybe you should cover your bike in solar cells for those cloudy days.

How about you paint it yellow and then do some vinyl graphics? If you ever get tired of them you can take them off and re-do it anytime. If you ever sell it you won't get the money out of the custom paint...don't ask how I know :(

Oh ya shameless plug.....303 cycle has a custom vinyl cutter in our shop! ;)

David, it's already painted yellow. And that may not be a half bad idea.

I just need to think of a color scheme or print idea.

This is the only pic I can find while here at work, except now I have a yellow seat cowl on the back.

Show me an example. I don't want the bike to be too "done up", I just want to minimize some of the yellow and make her look kinda sassy.

I think you do yellow/black with a faux number plate with "SV650S" cut out, etc. Keep it two-tone and simple :)

David, good idea. Simple is good. :)
