So, some dude in a jeep flagged me down yesterday and offered me cash for my bike on the spot. It has "Sentimental Value" as the Hawk was his first bike years ago.

He offered $2700 Which I did not take. I have had offers for $3200 that I did not take either. I did keep his number just in case I DO need to sell it though :)

Possibly, but it is not a matter of having an older smaller bike. It is a matter of the bike a a hell of a lot of fun to ride. I won't own a liter bike anytime soon so why should I sell it?

Find 1 person who used to own a Hawk and ask them if they would kill to own one now. The answer would most likely be yes. It is not just a good beginner bike, it is a great bike all around. I know 3 people who have been riding for more than 30 years and the Hawk is the bike they choose MOST when they are not going on a long haul. Try one, you'll like it :)
