My friend and I were having a conversation today and I said the Micheal Jackson's death actually started a NEW 3-some of celeb deaths because David Carradine died a few weeks back. His death was followed by Ed McMahon and then Farrah Fawcett. That would make the standard issue trifecta. He argued that Carradine wasn't a big enought celeb to make him eligible for the trifecta. Therefore, the trifecta is complete with McMahon, Fawcett and Jackson. What says the court of the CSC? There will be no "Bacon" answer in the poll.

I vote the Kung Foo guy was a celeb.

Perhaps we are ontrack for 2 more celebs to kick the bucket.

Sidenote, already sick of the constant MJ news coverage.

Was that a MJ joke? That belongs in the other thread.

Of course he was a big celeb! He wouldn't have been cast in Deathrace 2000 otherwise. :D

If you grew up watching "Kung Fu" you wouldn't be asking this question.

Damn right he was a celebrity!

Top five musical crimes perpetuated by MJ in the '80s and '90s. Go. Sub-question: is it in fact unfair to criticize a formerly great artist for his latter day sins, is it better to burn out or fade away?

If you were born before 1980 you would know how silly this question is.

Apparently Ed McMahon wasn't a celebrity...I was thinking the trifecta, especially with how close together they were, was McMahon, Fawcett, Jackson. But we could have another going with Jackson's passing. 'Course he was pretty much 3 people all by himself.

Wait?!? You're including Farrah Fawcett as a celebrity? I can see Ed McMahon as one recognizable celebrity since he was on every night with Johnny Carson for years?

David Carradine was on Waaaay more films and TV. Current and past

But, FF was on TV 30 years ago and on Film, what? 2 times or so: The Burning Bed, Cannonball Run

She was really only famous for her 2 inch nipples right? LOL!!!!!!

I couldn't believe the national news only mentioned Farah's passing once and the rest of the broadcast was about MJ.

I don't get the hype over him. I know his career did a lot for music, but the man was not a human being.

Um, used to watch Kung-Fu religiously.

A quote from one of the shows:

"In striving for an ideal, we do not seek rewards. Yet trust does sometimes bring with it a great reward, even greater than good." -- Master Kahn "What is greater than good?" -- Young Caine "Love." -- Master Kahn

"And what is love?" -- Young Caine "Love is harmony, even in discord." -- Master Kahn

No. There is one more because the consensus is that Jacko the Wacko started a new 3-some.
""From my own experience visiting the troops in the Middle East, I can tell you this though, despite how the conflict has been portrayed by our glorious media, if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Osama bin Laden, there's a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death."

David Feherty "

That's awesome!
