Wait, you can say fukballs on the CSC?
Only in the context of riders making motorcycles do things most of the general public would consider writing laws against.

It's a fascinating race.

In case you're wondering, Steve Plater, the guy in the video, got second this year (http://www.iomtt.com/TT-Database/Events/Races.aspx?meet_code=TT2009&race_seq=1), with an average speed of 127.6 on that run. His teammate MacGuiness won, setting a new lap record of 130.442. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Isle_of_Man_TT)

I wonder how any of these guys can get insurance to do this race, since it's guaranteed that at least one person will bite the big one during it. So many have that wiki has a page devoted to riders/marshalls/spectators who get offed during it. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Snaefell_Mountain_Course_fatal_accidents)

Hmmm...did he dnf in practice, I can't find him in the official competitor database. Some cryptic message about how hard the walls are there on his web site. Hope he didn't get hurt.

NVM, I found him.

Scott's 2009 IOM. (http://www.iomguide.com/races/database/rider-page.php?rider=1134&event_id=13) A bit off the pace, but I wouldn't expect much better of someone's first time there. You gotta realize the maniacs like Plater and MacGuiness have been at this for years and race multiple classes, so they know the route like the back of their hands.

I have relatives in Cornwall, UK. I'll be sporting one of their trusty steeds. Have to ferry the bike to the isle.

That video kind of reminds me of the beginning of Faster. They have the vid camera set up on the ground, facing up, in a turn. The bikes just fly by at 100 mph. It's pretty amazing! ...Maybe I need to watch that again tonight.
