Anyone know where I can get my hands on some Silkolene oil? I tried FASTER Motorsport and they ran out. Wanting to change the oil ASAP!

saw some at Coyote today...

BUT, and take this with the grain of salt that it's served with,

does it HAVE to be silkolene? There are many GREAT oils out there that will offer at least the protection that the silkolene does, some at a fraction of the cost.

My personal favorite: Mobil 1 15w50, available at your local wal mart for 22.00 for 5 quarts.

The bike has been on silkolene god knows how long (by Wahooman), and don't know if changing the oil type will mess the bike up...

Thoughts/opinion???

Possibly never used the same brand twice in a row

I don't worry about it, the only oils I don't mix brands on is 2 stroke oil.

I've been running Honda oil in a Yamaha...probably driving the karma gods crazy.

Fay Myers has Silkolene. It is all I use, but changing to a different brand is not an issue, the only issue can be mixing different types. A complete change is never a problem
