Newest member of the family.
Her name is Shiloh and she is a 9 1/2 week old Blue Heeler.
Now my 3 year old Lab; Tiko has a pal to play with.
The issue right now is she is certainly Alpha and is giving him the business.
He is not real sure what to make of her. I guess they will adjust with time, but she is definatley ruling the roost from day one.

I think Matty's adorable little boxer at the BBQ may have given me the puppy bug.:) I have been considering for a while, and couldn't resist when I saw him up for adoption at the July 4th event down the street.

Why would you buy that kind a dog? I saw an add at a local coffee shop for pure breed poodle puppies for only $1500.00!! :shocked:What a steal!! Fuckin stupid. Cute pup tho. Love the big "stand tall" ears.

I really don't do papered pure breeds; one for the price and the other not big on puppy mills. These were rescued pups and this one was saved from a DUI accident. The mom was in bad shape from the accident and is being nursed back to health. But for a $100 bucks and a little work I figure I can't go too wrong. The reason for this breed is I would l like to have an agile dog that can follow commands well; to run rivers with me when I go Kayaking. Tiko my lab is a little too clumbsy and tends to be distracted too easily. I was also feeling bad about Tiko not having a pal to romp around with.

Good looking dog. I am excited for mine to get a little older so the fun can begin. My lab loves to go to the mountains and follow the jeep through the mountains. I imagine she will enjoy it also. With some training work, I am hoping she will be ready to start running rivers by next spring.

Congrats, here was mine that we lost last year, she was where my username came from.
She was pretty laid back for a Heeler after she got past the first few years. They are great dogs, sometimes too smart for their own good. We are trying to find a rescue one right now.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Loosing animals can be hard. I will be meeting with the adoption people here in the next few days for the home inspection. If you are interested I will ask if they have any other pups around. They had a few on Saturday at the park, but they seemed to have no problem getting homes. I will see if they have some sort of contact information for you to contact them.
