i just got my bike and I was wondering if there is a difference in what type of frame sliders I get. How difficult are they to install?

if you have an SV, get motosliders.

if you don't have an SV, you're a sucker.

Just got some LP ones, they are super sexy :eyebrows: They looked fairly simple to install, but I can't vouch for that, seeing I didn't do it myself.

Doug, this is a thread for people who ride motorcycles. What are you doing here? :dunno:

LSL, Yoyodynes, Woodcraft, Sato's, Shogun, etc... they all pretty much do the same shit.

Find one you like, and hope you never need to use them.

Depending on what type of bike you have, there are basically two types.

No-cut - The bike has exposed placed to mount the slider to (install take about 1-2 minutes per side) and you're done, here is an example (http://www.indysuperbikes.com/Images2/motrax/magic-mush.jpg). If the bike doesn't have an exposed mounting point, then you have to install a bracket included in the kit which offsets the slider so that you don't have to cut the plastics, here is an example (http://motovationusa.com/mvstore/images/zx6street08.jpg). This will take a bit longer to install since it requires a couple of nuts to be removed from plastics to get the slider in position.

Must cut - mounting point is covered by the plastics and the slider kit you purchased requires you to drill a hole: EXAMPLE (http://www.british-customs.com/images/T/PT01-021-Frame-Slider-TT600.jpg)
