Have a guy at the office who recently moved to the state, has a Jeep, wants to go 4 wheeling (like the real kind, not the baby Jeep kind). Suggestions on good places to go?

Slaughterhouse isn't a bad start for a taste of the easy stuff.

Have him check out

http://www.colorado4x4.org & http://www.traildamage.com

Send him up to Holy Cross... it's real 4X'ing, not the baby kind! :)

we do alot of wheelin here in colorado on the www.jeepforum.com (http://www.jeepforum.com) website.. just tell him/her to look under colorado jeep. or he can add the coloradojeep myspace page down below in my sig

lately rides have been the T-33A plane crash site, eagle rock, slaughterhouse gulch, pickle gulch, spring creek, red elephant mill creek, kelly flats, devils canyon and a few more.

All depends on what they have done to their jeep to determine which spots they would be good to ride..

both are fairly easy trails

If you have to use a winch or break stuff on Red Cone or Middle St. Vrain you are doing something seriously wrong.

Real 4x4 would mean more difficulty when it comes to offroaing.. you can do simple rides with limited difficulty or you can do some that are for people with proper lift, tires and yea a wench would be helpful.. specially for mud holes.. If not bring a big ass tow rope.. I have one for a semi that is about 3 inches thick.. lol wont break! but very expensive
