Dude, that fuckin sucks. I swear I'll never park my bike outside an apartment complex for an extended period of time without lojack or something

whitebrad
Fri Jul 17th, 2009, 08:58 AM
it's my brother's... he was at his lady's last night for the time, you know, fell asleep, woke up, shit gone... no lojack...

Ricky
Fri Jul 17th, 2009, 09:01 AM
Damn... See, that's my fear. I don't have lojack on the bike because I have a garage, but someday, watch, I'll be somewhere it's not safe, and it'll get jacked.

Damn! That's right down the street from me. Might wanna check the creeks and washes in that area. Could have took it and ditched it. I found the home theater equipment from our RV down by the creek the next day. I guess they couldn't carry all my tools and the electronics at the same time.

When the RV and then later the house was robbed. The cops walked the creeks with me. They say stuff ends up in places like that all the time.

My house has a creek on two sides and they join at Hampden and turn into a concrete wash. The creeks are litteraly in my back yard on a green belt and the other is on my side yard.

I would start at the nearest creek and walk a quarter mile in each direction. Look under bridges and in tall weeds. According to the cops, they find stuff all the time.

Actually my comment was meant to save his life. Would like a chance to talk to the guy, is a good way to get him self killed. If you are going to do something about the guy, be prepared to deal swiftly with heavy deadly force because the guy is already committing a felony by stealing a the bike. If the cops pull the bike over when they know its stolen they will do a felony stop with guns drawn for a reason. If he finds the bike, he should follow at a safe distance and call the cops and let them do there job.

If I wanted to bust this guys balls about the carrying guns thing I would have posted in the gun forum. If he doesn’t like guns I don’t really care, as long as he doesn’t get in my face about it, then he can have his own opinion. Now he interferes with my 2nd amendment right then we will have a serous problem.

Well if you meant for that to be a serious comment, than my apologies on taking it as a typical troll. I do agree with you that it would be unwise to try to "have words" with the fella that stole the bike, or contact them in any manner at all besides getting the police on em.

Hopefully the bike gets found, Brad

I put over 130k on my Hawk in 2.5 years. But for parking lot riders, 16 is a bunch, I guess :)

The appropriate words would be "The police will be here to escort you to the emergency room, and then to jail, assuming you live" right AFTER you clock his ass in the back of the noggin with an axe handle...:scream1:

I'll keep an eye out in my neck of the woods...Colfax and Tower area

That's not really that much. I've got 9k on my 08. I could see having at least 12k by riding season end.

I went out and tooled around for a bit within a 10 mile vicinity. Saw a guy with a dark bike (couldnt tell what it was, it was afterdark, figured the thief probably wouldnt bring it out in the daytime) with the last 3 matching SSN however the first 3 did not match.

+1
If someone is willing to commit the crime of stealing property like this:
1.)they could likely be armed to commit the theft
2.)they could be armed because if they take a risk to steal a vehicle, this same person could be capable of much more
Why would you give this sort of person the benefit of the doubt?

Like JJ said, play it safe and keep your eyes open, I will be too
