~Trackday
~Got to start doing body work on the plastics
~Hope to get the bike painted between Aug 11-25 (I could hold off until I got to the trackday, just in case I spill)

Like my old CBR 6rr, but this time with all the wild, and random decals. Going with a factory look that I can pull out of http://www.tapeworks.com/YAMAHA%20Pages/R1.html

Took me 2 years with the CBR, With the R1 I hope to be done by the end of riding season.

Wish me luck or any ideas.

That's a beautiful bike. :) When the '05 Raven came out that was supposed to be a limited edition color for that year....then Yamaha screwed us over by making us pay for a limited edition color, then reproducing it in '06 BASTAGES!!!

Your bike will look SICK with the storm trooper look, though I see a lot of people going with the black / white theme.

Yeah my neighbor up the street paints and does interior. Been knowing the guy for 15 years. I'll get a camera for bit by bit stages as parts, paint, and gear come in.

And I was already thinking of a Pearl Orange but that will but a huge dent in my bugdet I'm trying to spend. Not a cheap color.

I have been considering painting my R1 white for a long time. Love the way a white bike looks, and feels in the hot sun.

I luuurve white bikes, but they need the decals and little bit of black here and there. That first pic is pretty much perfect.

Change of plan, white seems to have more popularity then the Raven (or the same). Everywhere I go I see a white bike. Im mean I can get whatever color I want for the hell of the price I'm getting it for.

I went through:
White
Red
Lambo Pearl Orange(awesome color)
Black
Even making a black and Pink bike (lol)

BMW, Honda, Suzuki, yamaha are all producing white bikes.

But after long planning, debating, looking at other owners pictures, and hours on Microsoft Paint. I guess i'm sticking to a gloss black. BUT not to keep it lookin like the typical Raven. Me and my painter have a few fancy ideas up our sleeve. He decided lets keep her black but add/paint tasteful pieces to highligh the bike. And Since black goes with everything I can choose whatever color I want

The Final decision Gloss black, Plus little painted highlighted parts (exhast cover, heat shield, wheels, calipers, etc. to compliment. Hope you like. Getting her done after my track day on 9/13

Im not no Chip Foose but I was make the everyday Raven look 10x better then it is now.

And other colors are welcomed

(Im not a bling bling, show bike type of guy, I believe sportbikes belong on the tracks abd canyons and not have Hydros, chrome, spinners, tv's, and candy paint on them, save that shit for cars)

Will differ a from the factory look. Maybe we can throw in that lambo orange to replace the gold.

I wish I had that type of technology to help me design. All I have is Microsoft Paint. It's like using crayons. Unless someone know how to photoshop on here.

FWIW, I LOVE white bikes and it has very little to do with looks.

White stays super cool in the hot sun, stands out more in traffic (you don't look like a shadow like you do on a black bike).

Ok I got a couple of photoshops up for the paint next month, I gotta start sanding and doing body work here in a few weeks hopefully right after my trackday after the 13th.

White or orange even though the orange didnt come out as planned (think about a pearl orange or repsol orange). Some other parts will be painted to...but here is the basic. Let me know what you guys think.......

I think the white on black really "snaps out" but the lambo orange with black is a close second choice for me.
