Damn our club members are the bomb! Last night after Bostons bike night some fool decided to try to steal a helmet of off one of our member’s motorcycle. The loser put it on his head (with the gloves still inside) and ride off, but before he could get away one (or maybe more) of our members saw him and got it back. The even better part is the cops came and next thing we know we see thief’s bike getting towed away. Anyways, I just wanted to thanks the people that got involved and caught the guy.

P.S. Did I mention I hate thieves!!!!!

Definitely. Whats more is that no one reportedly laid a finger on this guy in the heat of the moment?! (someone touches my stuff, I'd have a hard time being polite about it). Nicely done.

So was his bike stolen or why did the tow his bike?

Kristen87
Thu Aug 20th, 2009, 09:02 AM
Wow, that helmet must be made out of gold or something for him to steal like that, and it better not be some cheap helmet just to get busted.

Great job for taking him away. Is he a CSC member?

Fucker....hope he ends up with a nice boyfriend.....

OMG, we were wondering why that dude was in trouble! We stood there and watched as the tow truck rolled up to pick up his bike. Couldn't figure out why he was busted. But honestly, I think that's fucking awesome!!! I love it when thieves get caught. I work hard for my money to buy my stuff.

Pretty cool that everyone stayed cool too! Otherwise there would have been a lot more cops and a lot more bikes on trucks, whether the asshat deserved a good beating or not. Beating twats down for stealing your shit is best done when there aren't witnesses.

Not to worry, I'm sure he had a nice romantic evening in jail... :hump:

That all makes sense now. I saw him take off with the helmet around his arm like a dumbass. Good job CSC, we'll give Scooby Doo a run for his money...

Glad no "street justice" took place and that the police were only called for a real and justifiable reason and not b/c of a disturbing the peace or being a dumbass type call. Well done all.

When I was getting ready to leave, there was a cop talking to a guy telling him if he got on his bike he would arrest him. The cop mentioned something about him having an expired license though. The guy had a yellow gixer over on the west side of the parking lot. Don’t know if it was the same guy or not.

But obviously, this person had no clue about how some rider’s “mark” their equipment. If he did, he wouldn’t have never put that helmet on his head.

I "heard" the peeps that caught him took him down to the ground and held him there till the cops showed up. So he might've gotten a little tough love...??? My friend's friend was over there when he was looking around and she said he was looking at their helmets until she told him off. So apparently he was out for any helmet...not just a gold one. LOL.

I don't see anything wrong with his actions. This man is no theif, simply a motorcycle rider who is entitled to proper head protection.

Many on this board would probably construe helmet useage as "necessary preventative care" to avoid more expensive medical treaments later, in the event of a crash. He is therefore entitled to a helmet, and rightfully took one he felt would protect his noggin.

If we will not willingly provide "free" helmets for all - I think it best Obama put a program in place mandating them - and raising taxes of all to cover the cost.

It's only fair... right? :dunno:

Actually I overheard the mail PoPo on the phone with someone when I was gearing up to head out...

They arrested him for attempted robbery - AND - because he had a Mexican drivers' license, not a US one, AND it was expired, AND it did not have motorcycle endorsement, AND the motorcycle was not insured (or registered if I heard right)...

So they were bagging him on attempted theft of the helmet, as well as suspicion of theft of the motorcycle and all the other goodies related to his license.

It was rather amusing to hear considering he handed his cell phone to the PoPo to talk to whoever it was on the other end (his mom?).

Interesting, because when I saw him hand the phone over to the officer, there was already another dude in the back of the cop car. Two different arrests? I never saw them put the dude that had the phone, in cuffs or anything.

Oh, yeah, and ask Gary (Raptor) about the incident; he's the one who stopped the a$$-tard from leaving.

My bike was parked nearby and I remember seeing the sheriff checking the VIN on the guy and calling in the plates. I'm glad it was for a worthy cause.

All,
I just got in and read this post. It was my helmet (Scorpion EXO-700) that the dick tried to steal. As I was standing on the patio out in front of Boston's talking to Darin I noticed a guy scoping out my helmet. He then bent down grabbed the helmet and started to run to his bike. I ran out as he put on MY helmet, jumped on his bike, and started to turn around, as he turned around I stood in front of his bike and yanked MY helmet off his head and proceded to tell him what I thought about him. :cussing: Before I knew it, Gary and Darin ran over and helped me keep the prick there. Gary shut his bike off, took out his keys and threw them to Darin. Darin went and got the cop that had been seen around Boston's that night. I am taking that prick to court! That is why he was arrested and his bike was towed. The funny thing is, is that it will cost him more $ to get his bike out of impound and him out of jail than it would have been to go out and buy a helmet (DUMBASS!!!). I think the bike was a Honda CBR and in pretty bad shape. The bike and license plate checked out. He had a New Mexico driver license, but the cop said they are pretty easy to get so he could be an illegal. Once again I would like to thank Gary and Darin for there help with the situation and warn all the other riders to be carefull with leaving there gear on or around their bikes at bike night or any other biking event. I just don't understand people like this, we are a biking community and we all need to respect each others stuff (as almost all of us do). We all know how expensive our gear is! So please be careful!!! I am just thankful that I saw him when I did and now the F^CKER is going to pay. :doublefinger:
