I just noticed my post count was down by around 400 or so. Were there so old threads deleted that would effect it or was it something else?

I was doing some database administration as part of an update to somebody's account - it's one of many built-in functions on the admin side - the function right below it rebuilds everybody's post count from whatever's in the database. Despite the big warning that ends with "You have been warned!", I hit the button labelled "Update Post Counts" (ya, like shouldn't that have been enough?!?) .

Just proves that old expression:
To err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer.

sadly agreed about the gaytors.
