Group. We are a group.

You're a group of one. :jerkoff:

I'm thinking the CSC fits this definition of "club"

2. a group of persons organized for a social, literary, athletic, political, or other purpose: They organized a computer club.

or this one.

4. A group of people organized for a common purpose, especially a group that meets regularly: a garden club.

Does drinking fall under the "athletic" portion?

Drinking is a recognized competitive endeavor, so technically, you're an athlete.

I think a better case could be made for calling this a gymnastics club:

Leaps of faith

Jumping to conclusions

Flipping our lids

Threads cartwheeling out of control....

Search for Colorado Motorcycle clubs. See if we fit.

It's not the Colorado Sportbike Motorcycle Club.

I beg to differ. See what a difference a name can make?

Do what I did and ask a SoS if we are a club.

Ask a Hells Angel if we are a club

Have not asked a Destroyer or Dominion yet.

They certainly do not recognize the CSC as a club. With them being actual Clubs, who have done what they need to do to become a club, I will stick with my opinion that the CSC is not a club. It is a group of motorcycle enthusiasts. You get a set of patches on your back, I will call you a club.

So webster should change their definition of a club to:

A group of people organized for a common purpose, that have patches.

or

A group of people organized for a common purpose, that are recognized as a club by other clubs?

According to Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorcycle_club

A motorcycle club is a group of individuals whose primary interest and activities involve motorcycles.

Outside of the outlaw subculture, the words "motorcycle club (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/motorcycle_club)" carry no heavy meaning beyond the everyday English definition of the words – a club involving motorcycles, whose members come from every walk of life. Thus, there are clubs that are culturally and stylistically nothing like outlaw or one percenter clubs, and whose activites and goals not similar to them at all, but still use three-part patches or the initials MC in their name or insignia, with no thought given to the special jargon used by outlaw clubs

And just because the Hell's Angels and SoS say we're not a club, does not mean we're a group.

What would make us a club in your eyes?

Making Matty wear a "prospect" shirt at all functions.
Turf wars with finger snapping (and music).
Knocking over bikes in Alibi's parking lot...too soon?
