Well, last night the bike just died on me, in the middle of a ride. (94 Ducati m900)

Headlight went dim, then nothing. No idiot lights when in "On".* Won't bumpstart.

I've hooked it up to a car and jumped it... after awhile it'll run on it's own.

Then when I take it out on the street, after a few minutes it'll die.

Dead battery? Which is weird -- it's brand new.

Connections? Switches? There's gotta be something.

Thanks guys.

Probably charging system. Verify that that the connectors are plugged in on the stator output, and the regulator/rectifier. Also, if you have a multimeter, you can check the output of both components. If you can get it running, also check at the battery, my guess is you're below 12v and just draining it.

Regulators are a pretty common failure for any bike, I'd start there.

Well now I have a buzzing sound from my general relay.

It hasn't done that before...

And when I jump, the bike doesn't respond at all--which it usually does (obviously.)

Maybe I fried it?

I'd recommend you take it to TK, and let them diagnose it. Tell them Ralph sent you. They should be able to get you going again.
