A few times a week I hike this easy route up to the Rampart Reservoir with the dog. It's her happy place (no leash) and where I will sprinkle her ashes when she passes. Today I was working on the focus on my camera and shooting some photos for something I'm doing with my students regarding weeds and bugs. Tough to find a bug when you're looking for one.
Molly swims happily, chasing sticks and I come here to vent, smile, cry a lot. Today the rain and hail chased us off after about two hours.
Parts of HWY 24 into the Springs were like a parking lot...bumper to bumper.

Anyway....I recommend it for an easy hike for people with obedient dogs.

Very nice! Molly looks like she's doing well too! I hike that trail quite a bit too! It's amazing view year round and even better when the leaves change!

Thanks for posting. How do you get there from COS? Do you go there in the winter time, too?
As to bugs, you can come to my place!
I guess that rules me out for in-home bike nights ?!
