I really wonder how much mark up there will be on this bike. The Hayden Ducati was only 1k over normal MSRP which was a great deal and not other dealer markup and they were still willing to make a deal on it. I would venture to guess this time there will be a markup and not discounts.

The 2010 R1 will be available in dealerships nationwide beginning in September 2009 with a starting MSRP of $13,290 and available in Raven, Pearl White and Team Yamaha Blue/White.

The R1 LE will be available in January 2010 with a starting MSRP of $14,500 and available in Fiat Yamaha Team graphics.

Reading is fundamental.

Wait til it gets to the dealership. Thats where the markup will come into play. Just like the Shelby, Rousch mustangs. Where is says dealer markup $60k next to the MSRP. Thats what I was talking about.

I think with enough patience, you'll be able to get these at MSRP. I don't know how many of these they are planning to manufacture, but with the way consumer spending is right now, I don't exactly see them flying off the shelf.

If a dealership really wanted to play the markup game, they could swap out the shock and forks for some Ohlins bits, toss on a Brembo kit, and if they really wanted to go haywire, put on some Marchesini wheels.

If they made that bike, I could see myself entering into massive debt for it.

And most of the riders too! Every squid out there will see your bike and wonder why you have a huge FIAT on the side of your Yamaha

Replica bikes are gay. How much originality does it take to pay extra $ For some one elses ideas.

Well, I honestly think the new R1 is bug-eyed and butt-ugly, but I like the replica.:) Now, why didn't Suzuki do a 20th anniversary Spies or Mladin 1000 replica instead of just the 20th anniversary 750.....when the 750's haven't been raced for years? Dumb......

Dunno how any young squids (cuz there usually aren't any old ones) would even know what a Fiat is. We stopped producing them in the US in, what? Like 1984, right?

Unless the Chrysler deal goes through....

Would my Durango look SEXAY with FIAT logos?

I'd rock a Fiat 500 Abarth when then bring it here (which they are).

Well if memory serves me correct. Didn't Suzuki do a Mladin replica GSX-R1000 back in either 2003 or 2004?? Looked something like this:

14943

I know it's not as great looking as the R1 Fiat, but I guess you could say Suzuki did make somewhat of a Mladin Replica.
