So, now that I've moved to Westminster, I'm gonna need some recommendations on good shops to get my car and my daughter's car worked on.

My daughter's car is a 92 Nissan Sentra and needs some attention, so if anyone out there can recommend a good mechanic and shop we can take her car to, please post up.

Thanks:)

Does anyone on this forum do car repair?
I just paid $700 for new rotors. There has to be a better way.

Usually rotors are like $30-60 each. So your parts cost $120-240 the rest was labor that took them about an hour or less to do..sorry...

It was much more that that at the Lexus dealer, so I took it somewhere cheaper. Did I get ripped?

That's pretty pricey for 4 rotors. But depending on how they are attached, you might have been able to do it yourself. I'd say 30 minutes a piece at a mechanic. I just replaced the front rotors on my truck about 2 months ago, and the rotors (brembos) were $100, and the labor was $65.

Yep, as long as it's still the same as a coupla years ago. I am taking it to that shop that Jeff mentioned tomorrow to have a complete once-over and will pay for that, but will give you a call if you think you could do the work for less. I have a feeling there's gonna be at least one big-ticket item.

Will let you know.:)
