I've got a 98' gsxr 600 race only bike. I finally got my knee down last weekend.. but now I have a new problem.. I am grinding my footpegs occasionally (and I hate it, cuz it upsets the bike quite a bit).. .. they are stock footpegs.. I hear the gsxr are pretty high stock.. I'm on a budget.. so, was wonding, should I adjust my riding style (lessen lean angle), cut off a 1/2 inch or so off stock footpegs, or buy rearsets?

Touching down your stock rearsets is pretty common once you start getting fast.

I'm presuming the peg feelers (if your bike even ever had any - sorry, not familiar with the Zuki's) have already been removed. If not, these would be the first to go.

Without seeing you ride, I wouldn't suggest you change your riding style.

Replacing the rearsets is going to be your most expensive option, and cutting a 1/2" off your cheapest. But these aren't your only options...

There is another alternative, which isn't too expensive (all things considered): Rearset adaptors - they mount in the stock rearsets holes, then you mount your stock rearsets into the holes in the adaptor plate:

Hope this helps. 8)
