When is ski season?

For a newbie (second winter upcoming out here) when does the ski season start / end roughly?

I was a late starter last year, but am excited about this year. My freshman season had a steep learning curve, but I am ready baby!

Skiing in earnest usually starts around thanksgiving and runs till mid april

last year opening day was Oct. 16th.

If the weather stays like this, it might be around the same time if not earlier.

Beaver Creek: Nov. 25, 2009

Copper Mountain: TBA.

Eldora Mountain: Nov. 20, 2009

Steamboat: Nov. 25, 2009

Telluride: Nov. 26, 2009
