I have bought two sets of stands from these guys. I like them just fine they work well. I also bought the spool hooks to make life easier. I've shaken and bounced my bike on them and never had a problem. Here is the link to the stands page.

These are the ones i bought. If your local and wanna check'm out, drop me a PM.

That's the set I have and I love the rear stand. The front stand scares the bajeezus outta me tho. Put my bike on the front and it wobbles just when you sneeze.... If someone wants my front - you can have it (might work better on a different bike)

It's just the way that my forks sit on it - not stable at all. Salsashark and I were looking at it thinking that it was just begging to end up with the bike on the ground. I don't need the stand anyway, 303 is ordering me the pin I need for my PitBull.

The one in the pic. The 89 dollar one.

The rear looks like a swingarm stand, so the "arms" or "paddles" go under the swingarm on each side as opposed to lifting by the spools.

The front has to padded bars that go under each fork and lift.

You rest the ends of the forks on the two rubber coated prongs facing inward then pick the bike up the same way you would as the rear stand. Dunno if my particular bike just doesn't fit - or if it is just an uber scary design...

That sounds like an accident waiting to happen for the front stand at least.

Actually, it's pretty stable as long as you have a decent stand and your bike fits well.

Oh...oops! I have the spool version of the rear stand, but that is the front stand I have and the bar that rests on the backside of the fork isn't that high on mine...so yeah, could be my bike, could be the stand.

CaneZach

Jess, the bars should be able to spin, which allows you to change the position your forks go in.

Yeah I have a rear stand like that works pretty good, but no front stand. five gallon bucket works just fine.:)

They do and we tried. And it wasn't just my dizzy self that concluded that the stand and my bike were a bad idea, Salsashark was there with me looking at the stupid thing. lol
