So, if you get a parking ticket in a private lot in downtown they leave a ticket on your window labeled 'parking notice' that is payable to Parking Revenue Recovery Service. It also states that this is not a government or affiliated agency.

Guess - what can they do if you dont pay the fine !? =)

They will get your contact information from the DMV and send you to collections.

I had this happen once with a bogus parking lot ticket. I was told that once in collections my only recourse was small claims court. It sucks, but I just paid the $40 extortion fee.
