My DDS, told me to do the latter. Pray tell your preference?

I'm not a flosser, I'm a picker.

Did he say why? I usually brush first to get the major stuff, then floss to get the little stuff, then rinse with Scope. I'd think flossing first would simply drag the bigger stuff into your teeth.

Actually she did; this was just more of a hack thread though. Flossing is really to aggitate and loosen bacteria, more than it is, to deal with food particles.

When the bacteria starts to take hold, it's along the gum line, so if you floss first, and work the bacteria loose, then your brushing is most effective to finish the job. You can't really eliminate the bacteria, you just don't want it to start setting up camp. :D

Wow, a hack thread that turned informative vs. a serious thread that degenerated......Brilliant!
