Attn Honda, when you basterdized the VFR into that freak show that rotting away at dealers across the country, maybe you should have looked into doing something like this...

They must have a contract with aftermarket exhaust companies to put the ugliest stock exhausts on all motorcycles.

Intersting bike. I wonder if it's comfy?

Hmm real handlebars, 3 position windscreen and the Z1000 motor. Looks like Kawi's answer to the VFR since the C14 is obviously aimed higher at the larger 'Wing and ST1300.

I think Kawi's aiming directly at the disgruntled VFR 800 owners

I likey the new Kawi's looks. If my ZX11 continues to have its age related issues, I may be looking for a new sport tourer.

Well, the VFR community is pretty diverse in terms of what they want. Remember that the VF/VFR series started as a full-on, designed-from-the-ground-up sport bike (1983/1986). Then it evolved into a dedicated sport-tourer in the 3rd generation model (1990).

Some of us, especially those of us who have been riding them from the start, would like to see a V4-powered sport bike in the 750-1000cc range. (And a 600c version, properly executed, would be a killer race bike. The V4's power delivery would really stand out from the I4's.)

Others would like to see a 1000cc version of the 5th/6th gen sport-touring package. Others really like the new 1200. Some think it all went downhill after the 4th generation (1994-19997), the last of the 750's. So, it's quite wrong to see the VFR community as monolithic in terms of what they want.

Personally, I wouldn't mind having one of the 1200's but the 800 serves my needs just fine. I would really like to ride one of the 1200's with the dual clutch transmission. Everyone pans it, except for the people who have actually ridden one, and those people have given it very good reviews. As with any new technology, there are the diehards who refuse to consider anything new but Honda is ahead of the technology curve with the new VFR, just as they were with the original Interceptor. Radically new things are always difficult for people to accept.

None taken at all. I've been around long enough to know that people have all sorts of opinions, I have mine, and they don't necessarily have to agree. Some in the VFR community agree with you, wanting a 1000cc version of the current 800, mainly those wanting to do more than occasional 2-up riding.

For sgt775, here is the pic hosted on my site. The other is probably blocked by the DoD firewall:

It's a concept shot of a modern RC30, aka VFR750R. If Soichiro were alive, this would already be on showroom floors and winning races on the track.

yeah, i've been looking for a new ride, as I'm so tall the r6/1 aggressive forward riding position plays hell with my back and of course I smash my knees into the frame constantly. That's why I like my 11, and I'm guess I'd like this one too :)
